The SSFS Alumni Association Steering Committee hosted its 3rd Annual Ignite Sandy Spring event last month during Alumni Weekend. The format for Ignite is simple: five minutes, 20 slides that auto advance every 15 seconds, and you’re done. The tagline for Ignite is, “Enlighten us, but make it quick!”
The incredible line up of speakers represented a wide range of graduating class years: 1969 – 2021, and a fascinating mix of topics.
William Swetcharnik, class of '69, gave us a close look into the life of an artist in Central America.
Anisha Carr, current SSFS sophmore (and future alumni), showed us how to host Jeffersonian Dinner.
Sharon Gelman, class of '76, talked about how artists, the arts, and activism can help change the world.
Ignite Sandy Spring was an incredible opportunity for all who attended; we laughed, we cried, we came away from the experience inspired. And now we invite you to join us in reliving the memories by watching these inspirational videos on the SSFS YouTube channel.
