Hello!

My name is Holly White and I am on the dorm staff here at SSFS. This is my second year here. Before this job, I lived in Eau Claire, WI and went to school at a university there.

Sandy Spring, Maryland, is very different from my hometown of Wisconsin, but I love being part of this welcoming community built on the foundation of the SPICES. I never attended a boarding school program, but I spent each of my summers at a sleep-away camp and recognize the independence, strong friendships, and community that comes with being a part of a residential program. It truly is an honor to be part of this spectacular environment with such wonderful students.

While working in the dorm, one of my responsibilities is coordinating travel. This entails managing the logistics for holiday breaks, long weekends, and even one-day trips for our students.

The most important aspect of this effort is having all of the accurate information: flight numbers, departure and arrival times, parental approval, plans once the student arrives, and contact information during the trip.

I do my best to make sure all students and parents get an email with details regarding who will be dropping them off and picking them up, as well as contact information to allow for the most convenient experience possible.

If you have questions or concerns about travel please reach out to me via email at Holly.White@ssfs.org.
